To make Paneer Makhani you will need
100 grams cheese

4 medium tomatoes

2 tbsp light cream

1 tablespoon butter

2 tbsp cashew paste

1 bay leaf

Half teaspoon ginger garlic paste

Half tsp red chilli powder

1 to 2 green chillies chopped

half teaspoon garam masala

half teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon Kasoori Methi

salt as required

How to make Paneer Makhani
To make Paneer Makhani, melt butter in a pan. Then first add bay leaf. Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a few seconds or until the aroma goes away. Then add tomato puree and mix well. Now add red chili powder to it and fry the mixture until oil starts leaving the sides of the tomato paste. Now add cashew paste to it and then fry on low flame for about 15 minutes and then keep stirring again and again. Add water later. Keep stirring the mixture until the gravy becomes thick and cook on low flame. Now add ginger garlic paste to it and fry again. Add sugar, salt and crushed Kasuri methi in the gravy. Mix it and then add paneer pieces. Mix gently and turn off the flame. Then add cream and stir gently and turn off the flame. Then add garam masala and mix. Paneer Makhani can be eaten with puri, roti, naan, paratha or rice.
