Ingredients for making kheer
-Half liter full cream milk

-half cup basmati rice

-2-3 threads of saffron

-half cup sugar

-One-fourth cup grated coconut

-One-fourth cup chopped cashew nuts

-One-fourth cup pistachio shavings

-one spoon cardamom powder

How to make kheer
To make kheer on the day of Sharad Purnima, first wash the rice and soak it for 1 hour. After this, soak saffron in two spoons of milk and keep it aside. Now heat milk in a pan, add saffron and rice and cook on low flame. When the kheer rice is cooked, add sugar, cardamom powder, coconut and dry fruits and mix well. After stirring for a while, turn off the gas. Your tasty kheer is ready. Before serving it, garnish with pistachios and almond slivers.
