Mumbai, October 17 (IANS). Actor Pankaj Tripathi, known for his work in 'Mirzapur', 'Gangs of Wasseypur', 'Masaan', is all set to become a radio host for an FM channel.
There is a special kind of rhythm in the way the actor speaks. Mirzapur's Kaaleen Bhaiya's vocal structure makes him suitable for narrating stories while entertaining the listeners on radio.
He will be seen working as a radio host for the first time for Big FM's show 'Dhun Badal Ke To Dekho' Season 3.
Sharing his excitement of being on radio for the first time, the actor said, “I am thrilled to play the role of a radio host for the first time for BIG FM's 'Dhun Badal Ke To Dekho' Season 3, a show that Brings different perspectives on important topics.
He further added, “As an actor I have always believed in the power of screenplays, but as a radio network host I am excited to explore the power of storytelling in audio. Sometimes it takes a change in mindset to see the world differently and that is exactly what we are aiming for with this show”.
The first season of the show was led by Vidya Balan. Where the actress talked about such topics on which people shy away from talking. Whereas, if we talk about its second season, it was hosted by Sadhguru, in which the focus was on mental health and spirituality.
The show is expected to air in the last week of October.
Pankaj Tripathi is one of the most prominent actors of Hindi cinema. He has received two National Film Awards and one IIFA Award. He gained recognition for his role in Anurag Kashyap's crime drama 'Gangs of Wasseypur', after which he played several notable supporting roles. He was seen in his powerful roles in 'Fukrey', 'Masaan', 'Nil Battey Sannata', 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', 'Stree', 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' and the recent blockbuster 'Stree 2'. .
