Arun Bhaduri (English: Arun Bhaduri, born- October 7, 1943; death- October 17, 2018) was a famous Indian classical singer. He served as a teacher at ITC Music Research Academy. He was a top radio and television artiste. He received training in Indian music from Mohammad A. Daud and Mohammad Sagiruddin Khan. Arun Bhaduri had made his mark in the world of music with his impressive imagination and organized performances. He performed in many national concerts and festivals in India and abroad. In the year 2014, he was given the 'Banga Bibhushan' award.

Born on October 7, 1943 in Murshidabad, West Bengal, Arun Bhaduri was initially taught by Mohammed A. Dawood. He then acquired a wealth of learning from Mohammad Sagiruddin Khan on the subtleties, nuances and embellishments of Hindustani classical music. His talent earned him a place at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a Musician Scholar.

At ITC-SRA, Arun Bhaduri received training from late Ustad Ishtiaq Hussain Khan of the Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana. Padmashree Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh later taught him classical and light classical music and made him aware of the nuances of songs. In his pursuit of musical excellence he was greatly influenced by Ustad Amir Khan and imbibed the aesthetic qualities of the late maestro. Arun Bhaduri beautifully blends all these styles to create a casual style of his own. He also presented Bengali songs and bhajans with equanimity.

Pandit Arun Bhaduri has been the guru of ITC Sangeet Research Academy for more than a decade. He was also a top grade radio and television artiste and made his mark in the music world with his effective imagination and organized performances. He performed in many national concerts and festivals in India and abroad. He has several cassettes and CDs to his credit containing music lessons released by the West Bengal State Music Academy. This consummate artiste, with magic in his music, was also a remarkable composer.

Due to his outstanding contribution in the field of music, in the year 2014, Pandit Arun Bhaduri was given the state's highest civilian award 'Bang Bibhushan'.

Famous classical singer Pandit Arun Bhaduri passed away on October 17, 2018 (Monday) after a prolonged illness. Arun Bhaduri, considered the emperor of Gla songs and bhajans, was suffering from respiratory problems for some time. According to the CEO of the hospital – “He was having trouble breathing due to lung infection. Not only in the lungs, he was also suffering from the problem of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). During treatment, his condition deteriorated. Gradually, many of his organs stopped working, but his condition worsened on Sunday and he died on Monday morning.
