Ingredients for making Kalakand

  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 4-5 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ghee or butter
  • 2 tsp cardamom powder

  • First of all separate the chenna. For this boil milk. -When milk boils, water and milk will separate.
  • But if the chenna does not separate even after boiling, then you can add lemon or vinegar to it. Mix vinegar in water and mix.
  • Now filter it in a cloth and separate it. For this you should use clean and cotton cloth.
  • Get rid of pimples, then wash it off with water. This will remove the rancidity.- After this, squeeze the chenna well. This will remove all the water from the chenna.
  • Place chenna in a big bowl. Now mash it with hands or in a blender.
  • After this, add 2 spoons of milk powder in this bowl. It enhances the taste. Now add 200 grams condensed milk to it. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Now keep the pan on gas. Mix this mixture in it. Cook it on low flame for some time. You do not have to add sugar to it. Because it is already sweet because of the condensed milk.
  • Cook it for some time. Cook so much that it does not become hard. Take out the kalakand in a smooth plate. Mix kalkand in it. Set it well. Leave the tuber like this for half an hour. After this cut it into small pieces.
  • Now decorate this kalakand with pistachios and saffron. You can also serve it to guests. Apart from this, you can make it on other special occasions also.
