India announces 23-man squad for FC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers

New Delhi, October 20 (IANS). India Under-17 men's football team coach Ishfaq Ahmed has named a 23-player squad for the FC Under-17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers. These qualifiers will be held in Thailand from 23 to 27 October.

India have been placed in Group D, where they will face Brunei Darussalam on October 23, Turkmenistan on October 25, and hosts Thailand on October 27. The qualifiers have 10 groups, with the winner of each group and the five best second-placed teams qualifying for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2025 to be held in Saudi Arabia.

India team:

Goalkeepers: Ahebam Suraj Singh, Rohit, Nandan Roy.

Defenders: Karish Soram, Mohammad Kaif, Chinghatham Rainin Singh, Brahmacharimayum Sumit Sharma, Thungamba Usham Singh, Yaifferemba Chingkham, Jodrick Branches.

Midfielders: Abdul Salaha Sheergojhari, Ahongshangbam Samson, KH Azlan Shah, Lewis Zangminlun, Mahamad Sami, Manbhakupar Malangiang, Mohammad Arbash, Ningthoukhongjam Rishi Singh, Vishal Yadav, Ngamgohu Mate.
