Rachin Ravindra is happy with his performance in Bengaluru Test, told what things he achieved success by paying attention to

Bengaluru, October 20 (IANS). Rachin Ravindra has emerged as a young star with his batting in the ODI World Cup 2023 and now in the Test match against India. His brilliant performance in Bengaluru is very special for him, because his family is also associated with this city.

Rachin, who once again came into limelight in the cricket world, scored 134 runs in the first innings against India in Bengaluru and made an important contribution to the team's victory by scoring unbeaten 39 runs in the second innings. This player was also given the Player of the Match award after New Zealand's victory by 8 wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. This was New Zealand's first Test win in India since 1988.

Rachin talks about his success in Bengaluru. “I think it's a combination of both (form and preparation). As long as I'm clear about what needs to be done and what my plan is, it's great. I don't try to attack the bowlers,” he said. “But I was just taking care of my positioning, which is important in this part of the world. I wouldn't say I'm looking to attack, but I'm hoping to get in a good position so I can score.”

He further said that I hope that the way I move on the pitch, I will be able to score runs in different areas. It is not about hitting boundaries every time, but also about rotating the strike. We talk about this a lot in the team.

Before leaving for the tour of Sri Lanka and India, Rachin prepared for a week at the Chennai Super Kings High-Performance Academy in Chennai under coach Sriram Krishnamurthy, who was also the youngster's coach during his formative years in Wellington.

Rachin expressed his feelings about performing brilliantly in Bengaluru, saying, “It's a good city, and it was a good wicket to bat on. So the odds were in my favor. Whenever I play in Bengaluru, the support is there. It's nice to meet you.”

It is noteworthy that Rachin's father was also present in the stadium to watch his performance in this match.
