This chutney made from peanuts is very tasty to eat, which you can serve with anything from dosa to roti. While making this chutney, urad dal is added to it, which makes this chutney a little different from other normal chutneys. In Andhra, this chutney is also called Palli chutney, which you can serve as a delicious side dish with idli, dosa and uttapam. Can also be served as.

Ingredients to make Andhra Style Peanut Chutney-
-1 tbsp oil
-1 cup peanuts
-4-5 dry red chillies
-1 inch piece of ginger chopped
-5-6 garlic cloves
-¼ cup coarsely chopped onion
-Lemon sized tamarind
-Salt as per taste

For tempering-
-2 tbsp oil
-1 teaspoon mustard seeds
-½ teaspoon cumin
-¼ tsp asafoetida
-1 spoon urad dal
-10-12 curry leaves

How to make Andhra Style Peanut Chutney-
To make Andhra style peanut chutney, first heat refined oil in a pan. Now put peanuts in oil and fry them till they turn light brown, then take them out separately in a plate. Now add red chilli, ginger, garlic and onion in the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes. After this, put all these things along with peanuts in a plate and keep it to cool for some time.

Now put these things in the grinder along with tamarind and salt and prepare a smooth chutney with the help of some water. Now to add tempering to the chutney, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida and let it crackle for a few seconds. Now add urad dal and fry until it turns brown. – After adding curry leaves to the chutney, pour the tempering over the chutney and mix well. Your Andhra style peanut chutney is ready. You can serve this chutney with dosa, idli or rice dal.
