How were the sales in 500 to 800 cc?
In the 500 to 800 cc super bike segment, bikes from Honda, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, Suzuki and Triumph are offered for sale. According to SIAM report, a total of 3990 units were sold in this segment during September 2024. Whereas earlier during September 2023, total sales in the same segment were 3439 units. This segment includes superbikes like Honda XL 750, Kawasaki Ninja 650, Versus 650, Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, 650 Twin and Street Triple.
Sale of 800 to 1000 cc bikes
Bikes like Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX, Triumph's Bonneville T100 and Speed fall in the 800 to 1000 cc bike segment. According to the report released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, a total of 147 units were sold in this segment last month. Whereas in the same period last year, 166 bikes were sold. According to the data, there has been a decline in sales of this segment on a year-on-year basis.
Sale of super bikes larger than 1000 cc
Bikes with engine capacity of liter class and above are also sold in India. Hero MotoCorp sells Harley Davidson bikes in India. These include super bikes like Ninja 1000, Versus 1000, Nightster, Pan America, Piaggio RSV4, Suzuki Hayabusa and Triumph's Bonneville Bobber. According to SIAM report, a total of 105 bikes of this segment were sold in the Indian market during September 2024. Whereas last year in September 2023, the total sales of this segment were 82 units.
