Make potato curry during fasting, the recipe is very easy

Usually, during the fast, potatoes are used with dry potato curry or puri, but today we have brought a special recipe of potato curry for you. This recipe is not only delicious but also very easy to make. During fasting, you can prepare this potato curry with limited spices and ingredients in just 10-15 minutes. Ingredients for Potato Kadhi

  • Medium sized potatoes – 3-4 (boiled and mashed)
  • Water chestnut flour – 2 tbsp
  • Curd – 1 cup (whipped)
  • Cumin – 1 teaspoon
  • Curry leaves – 6-7 leaves
  • Whole red chilli – 1-2
  • Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
  • Rock salt – as per taste
  • Green Coriander – for garnish
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

Ingredients for making pakodas:

  • Potatoes – 2 (boiled and mashed)
  • Water chestnut flour – 1 tablespoon
  • Chilli- as per taste
  • Rock salt – as per taste
  • Oil – for frying

Potato Kadhi Recipe

  • First of all, take 2 boiled potatoes and mash them. Prepare a thick paste by mixing water chestnut flour, rock salt and chilli.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry this mixture like small pakodas. When the pakodas become golden, take them out on paper towel.
  • First of all, put water chestnut flour in a pan and dry fry it. When the batter turns light golden, turn off the flame.
  • Now heat oil in another pan, add cumin seeds and curry leaves and let it splutter.
  • After this, add whole red chilli and ginger paste and fry it well. Take care that the ginger paste does not burn.
  • Now prepare a smooth batter by mixing roasted flour, curd, rock salt, mashed potatoes, chilli and water in a bowl. There should not be any lumps of flour in this mixture.
  • Lower the flame of the pan and slowly pour this mixture into the pan and keep stirring continuously so that lumps do not form in the pan.
  • Cook it for 3-4 minutes. Now add prepared potato pakodas to this curry and cook for 4-5 more minutes.
  • When the vegetable becomes thick, garnish with green coriander.
  • Enjoy this spicy potato curry with sama rice pulao or kuttu puri.
  • This dish not only fills the stomach during fasting, but also tastes amazing.
  • If you want, you can also add tomato or mint to the potato curry, which will increase its taste.
  • If you want the vegetable to be thick then you can slightly increase the quantity of curd.
