Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has recently accused Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui of tarnishing the image of Mumbai Police. The organization claims that some of Nawazuddin's statements and his recent activities are creating a negative perception towards the police. The committee has demanded legal action in this matter. Even before this, Nawazuddin has faced controversies on various social and cultural issues, such as in 2016 when Shiv Sena stopped him from performing Ramlila in his village.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has recently filed a complaint against Nawazuddin Siddiqui due to an online gaming advertisement. The committee alleges that the image of Maharashtra Police has been misrepresented in this advertisement, due to which an attempt has been made to damage their reputation. He has demanded legal action against Nawazuddin from Maharashtra Police Chief and Mumbai Police Commissioner. The committee also believes that such advertisements tarnish the image of the police and strict action should be taken against it.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has filed a complaint against Nawazuddin Siddiqui under the Surajya campaign, accusing him of insulting justice and law and order by playing a character in Maharashtra Police uniform. Coordinator of this campaign, Abhishek Murukute sent a letter to Maharashtra Police, demanding legal action against Nawazuddin for tarnishing the image of the police administration.

The committee claims that the dignity of the police has been hurt through this character, which is wrong and strict action should be taken against it.
