PM Suryoday Yojana announced

Actually, after the inauguration of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced Suryodaya Yojana. In which he said that solar panels will be installed on the roof for the poor and middle class of the country. He said that one crore families will benefit from this scheme. He said that this will reduce the electricity bills of poor families.

Finance Minister gave this information in the budget speech

This information has come to light about PM Suryoday Yojana, when Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget, she gave more information about this scheme. In which he said that under PM Suryodaya Yojana, up to 300 units of free electricity will be given to 1 crore houses, on whose roof panels will be installed. Apart from this, he also explained the benefits of this rooftop solar panel.

What is PM Surya Ghar Yojana?

Now PM Modi has also said the same thing, but this time instead of PM Suryodaya Yojana, it has been named PM Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme. PM Modi said that about Rs 75 thousand crores are being invested in this scheme. The scheme aims to illuminate 1 crore homes by providing free electricity up to 300 units. He said that the government is ensuring that the cost of solar panels does not burden the people. In which people will be given maximum subsidy. To popularize the scheme at the grassroots level, urban local bodies and panchayats will be encouraged to promote rooftop solar panels in their jurisdiction, the PM wrote. Also, this scheme will bring more income to people, reduce electricity bills and generate employment. Now all these things prove that both these schemes are related to each other, PM Suryoday to install solar panels on the roofs of houses Yojana is being called, while the free electricity scheme is being called PM Surya Ghar Yojana.
