Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every year on the Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. During this time people install the idol of Lord Ganesha in their homes. Pandals are made at many places and idols of Bappa are installed there. But do you know that there is a village where the idol of Ganapati is not installed. Villagers say that when the idol of Lord Ganesha is installed here, a series of bad luck starts.

The village is in Madhya Pradesh. The people of this village have an age-old tradition that they do not install an idol in the village for worshiping Ganesh. This village is 80 km away from Multai, Taroda village is elderly. People here believe that installing the idol of Lord Ganesha in the village leads to death. There are about 250 houses in Tarora village. 2200 people live here. Celebrating Ganesh Utsav is completely prohibited in this village. According to media reports, village sarpanch Dayal Panwar says that he has been observing the tradition of not installing Ganesh idol in the village for years due to old beliefs.

He says that he had learned from his elders that installing a Ganesh idol brings disaster. Animals start dying. People are falling ill and deaths have started in the village, so they are also following this tradition. They do not install Ganesh idols in the villages. The villagers said that everyone worships Lord Ganesha, but Ganesh Utsav is not celebrated only in the villages. He said that there is a tradition in the village of not keeping only idols, which the entire village is following. Villagers say that Ganesha is the giver of Riddhi-Siddhi and the first worshipable deity, but due to the tradition of the village, he is not established.

Villagers told that about 30 years ago, a family coming from outside started living near the Panchayat Bhavan in the lower part of the settlement. The family installed a Ganesh idol in the house. When he brought the Ganesh idol on the first day of Ganesh Utsav, the health of an elderly person in his house deteriorated and he died on the very next day. At the same time, his neighbor's health also deteriorated. Due to which the idol was immersed on the third day itself. The villagers told that the family no longer lives in the village, at that time also the villagers had advised the family not to install the Ganesh idol, but they did not agree.
