Indian team announced for Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Team India is going to tour Australia, where it will play a five-Test series from November 22.
India's 18-member team has been announced for the Border Gavaskar Series to be held on Australia tour.
The captaincy of the Indian team has been handed over to Rohit Sharma for the Border Gavaskar Series to be held on Australia tour and he will also open.
Jasprit Bumrah will play the role of vice-captain for the Test series on Australia tour and will also strengthen the fast bowling department.
Along with Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel has also been given a chance as wicketkeeper batsman for the Australia tour.
Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan have got a chance.
Deadly and veteran spinner R Ashwin has also got a place in the team, who will create havoc on the Australia tour.
Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar have also been selected as all-rounders, who can do wonders with ball and bat.
Stars like Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep and Prasidh Krishna have got a chance to strengthen the fast bowling department in the team.
Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini and Khalil Ahmed have been selected as reserve players for the Border Gavaskar series.
