Official logo and trophy of Delhi Kabaddi League unveiled

New Delhi, October 27 (IANS). Delhi Kabaddi League (DKL) unveiled its official logo and trophy in a colorful ceremony held on Sunday in the presence of Delhi State Kabaddi Association President Ramesh Bidhuri. Manjeet Chhillar, former Indian Kabaddi player and brand ambassador of Delhi Kabaddi League, who is an inspiration to players and fans, also attended the unveiling ceremony. This league, starting in the capital Delhi from March 2025, will prove to be a milestone for the players.

During the ceremony, Ramesh Bidhuri said, “The unveiling of the Delhi Kabaddi League logo and trophy is an important step in our journey of taking Kabaddi to new heights. We are very excited to present the league to the people.”

During the function, Delhi State Kabaddi Association also revealed about all the franchises for Delhi Kabaddi League (DKL) which include Ghazipur Sultans, Karol Bagh Tuskers, Tughlakabad Kings, Royal Chandni Chowk, Shahdara Sardars, Rohini Titans, Chhatarpur Spartans and Najafgarh Warriors. 8 teams will participate in its first season.

Talking about Delhi Kabaddi League, Manjeet Chhillar said, “I have dedicated my entire life to Kabaddi and it is an honor to be a part of the journey of Delhi Kabaddi League. I am proud to see the game gaining so much momentum in Delhi. “I'm thrilled to see it, and I'm committed to promoting it in every way I can.”

Apart from this, during the ceremony, General Secretary of Delhi State Kabaddi Association (DSKA) Rambir Singh, former Senior Vice President of DSKA MS Tyagi, League Commissioner Niranjan Singh, General Secretary (DKL) Surinder Singh, current Vice President Sunil Kumar and members of United States Premier League (USPL) were present. Founder Jaideep Singh was also present.

The responsibility of organizing and managing the league is given to 100 Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. has been assigned. Commenting on this, Ravindra Bhati, Founder, 100 Sports said, “100 Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. is fully committed to organizing and managing this league. Speaking about the tournament, League Commissioner Niranjan Singh said, “The Delhi Kabaddi League provides a huge platform to give opportunities to talented players and take Kabaddi forward in the capital. We are confident that 100 Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. will provide an opportunity to all the fans and Will create such a platform for the players, which will become a memorable experience for all sports lovers.”

The Delhi Kabaddi League will be an 8-franchise model in which teams with names from different regions will participate. A formal bidding process will be conducted to make the tournament attractive and competitive. Local talent will be promoted by classifying Delhi players into different groups and the athletes will be provided a platform to showcase their skills.

The league promises high-level competition with substantial prizes for the top teams. The winners will be awarded Rs 5 lakh, the runners-up will be awarded Rs 3 lakh and the third and fourth placed teams will be awarded Rs 1 lakh.
