For such people, the Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana in 2018, which is also known as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Under the scheme, the Government of India provides free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. The government issues Ayushman card for this. The government has simplified the process of making Ayushman card. If you are eligible in the scheme. And you have some important documents. So you can apply for Ayushman Card by visiting your nearest Common Service Center. But there are no common service centers in rural areas. So if you also live in such rural areas. Then you can go to the Panchayat Bhawan to get the Ayushman card made. You will have to show the ration card, Aadhar card and some identity cards to the concerned officials present there. You will be asked for some information which you will have to provide. After this the officer completes the process of making your Ayushman card. Government of India has prescribed some letters for making Ayushman card. That means the government does not issue Ayushman card to all the people. If you want to know whether your Ayushman card can be made or not. So for this you can check your eligibility by visiting the official website of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and clicking on “Am I eligible” option. If you are eligible then your Ayushman card will be made otherwise not.
