This Diwali, Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher and newcomer Mihir Ahuja ponder the deeper meanings of relationships, care and togetherness. He presents these sentiments in his new film Vijay 69, directed by Akshay Roy and produced by Manish Sharma.

In this heart-warming story presented by Netflix and YRF Entertainment, Mihir Ahuja's character becomes an unlikely ally and cheerleader for Anupam Kher's Vijay Mathew, proving that relationships in life are not limited to blood relations.

On this special message of the film, Anupam Kher says, This Diwali, when we are celebrating unity and family bonds, Vijay 69 reminds us that family is not just made up of blood relations. Many times, it is the strangers who come into our lives who prove to be the most caring. The character of Mihir has been that unexpected light in my journey, and in real life too we have formed a bond that feels like family.

He further says, the film has a beautiful message that the younger generation can bring happiness and enthusiasm in the lives of the elderly. They can become good companions for them and instill hope in their lives. A society's identity is always determined by how it treats its elders. I have faith in the youth of India that they will show the world that our country loves and respects its citizens immensely.

For Mihir Ahuja, working with a legend like Anupam Kher was a learning and a privilege. Impressed by the film's inclusive message, Mihir says Vijay 69 is a perfect film for Diwali. On this festival of lights we celebrate togetherness and family bonds. In our film we show how strangers from two different generations help each other and become a family. This film touched me as a project, and I love that it shows that the younger generation respects the elders who built the world for us.

Mihir further says, I like that in the film we show that it is possible for any person to have a family. We just need an inclusive society, in which we care about others and respect each other's dreams. The film shows that we do not need blood relations to support and celebrate each other. I like that the film shows the youth maturing to bring happiness in the lives of the elders. Our generation can learn from the elders the true meaning of empathy and the essence of being a family. Working on Vijay 69 and learning from Anupam sir every day on the set has been a truly enriching experience for me.

A blend of laughter, determination and sensitive moments, Vijay 69 is set to release on Netflix on 08 November.
