In such a situation, if you are a diabetic patient and have decided to perform Chhath Puja, then keep these special things in mind to keep your health good along with faith.

During Chhath Puja, mostly traditional foods like Thekua, Chura, Jaggery etc. are consumed. But sugar fanatics should eat such things only in limited quantities. Instead of this, consume natural sweets like dates or dry fruits. Choose items like jowar, millet and whole grains in your diet, which have low glycemic index. Such foods digest slowly and help in keeping the blood sugar level stable.
