This is also because due to leaving home early on weekdays, people are not able to prepare breakfast properly and are not able to eat until their stomach is full. In such a situation, people want something new for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Often people make cheela of gram flour, semolina etc and eat it. But today we have brought a completely different chili recipe for you. This cheela lauki is a besan cheela recipe. Of course, some people get confused on hearing the name of jaggery, but after eating this chilli you will not know what ingredients have been used in making it. So let us know what are the ingredients required to make Lauki Besan Cheela and how it is made.

लौकी बेसन का चीला

  • Jaggery or bottle guard – 1 pumpkin grated
  • Gram flour – one and a half cup
  • Capsicum – 1 chopped
  • Onion – 1 finely chopped
  • Tomato – 1 finely chopped
  • Coriander – chopped
  • Green chillies – 2-3 chopped
  • Ginger paste – half teaspoon
  • Garlic paste – half teaspoon
  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Celery – 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida – a pinch
  • Turmeric – half teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder – one teaspoon
  • Cumin powder – half teaspoon
  • White sesame seeds – half teaspoon
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • a pinch of sugar
  • Ghee or oil for frying chillies

  • Grate the pumpkin and take it out in a bowl. Add gram flour, sugar, salt and all finely chopped vegetables in it. Mix it well.
  • Now mix all the spices in it. Also add one spoon oil and mix well.
  • Now prepare a thick batter by adding water little by little. Leave it on for five minutes.
  • Now place the pan on the gas stove and heat it. Add one spoon oil or ghee on it.
  • Pour the gram flour mixture over it with a ladle and spread it evenly over the entire pan. Cook it well on medium flame by turning it from both the sides.
  • When it becomes golden brown from both the sides, take it out in a plate. Enjoy this hot Lauki Besan Cheela with tomato chutney or green chutney.
