Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) chief executive Naseeb Khan revealed that Nabi informed him about the decision and he accepted it. Nabi will continue to play T20 cricket for Afghanistan and may also be targeting the 2026 T20 World Cup after retiring from the longest format, Test cricket, in 2019.
“Yes, Nabi is retiring from ODIs after the Champions Trophy and he has informed the board about his wish,” Naseeb told Cricbuzz. I think the hope is for him to continue his T20 career after the Champions Trophy and that's the plan as of now.
This all-rounder also has the record of most wins against teams. He has played an important role in winning 45 matches for Afghanistan. Recently he played a brilliant innings in the ODI match against Bangladesh. In this match, Nabi played the highest innings of 84 runs on 79 balls for Afghanistan.

Mohammad Nabi has played 165 ODI matches for Afghanistan. Whereas in batting he scored 3537 runs. During this period he scored 2 centuries and 17 half-centuries. Apart from this, Nabi took 171 wickets while bowling.
