The top-2 teams from both the groups will enter the Super-4 stage, whose matches will be held on 19 and 20 December. The top two teams from the Super-4 stage will advance to the final on December 22, which will decide the first champion of the Women's Under-19 Asia Cup. The decision to launch the Women's Under-19 Asia Cup was taken by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) during its executive board meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on September 11.
Their vision of launching the tournament will give emerging women cricketers in Asia the opportunity to compete on the international stage and help them gain vital experience and preparation and ultimately help Asian teams perform better on the world stage.
The ACC has been organizing the Men's Under-19 Asia Cup since 1989, the next season of which will be played in Dubai from November 29 to December 8. But hosting the women's season of age-group tournaments will further strengthen Asia's efforts to achieve gender parity at all levels and promote cricket talent.
