Utility News Desk!!! For the middle class, train is an important means of traveling from one place to another. Every day lakhs of passengers travel from one state to another by Indian Railways. Some travel on reservation tickets and some reach their destinations on RAC or waiting tickets. But recently Indian Railways has tightened some rules for daily commuters. Which will have a direct impact on the traveling passengers. Recently Railways has issued a notification regarding ticket confirmation. According to this, if any passenger is caught traveling on a waiting ticket, he will be immediately stopped from traveling and will be deboarded from the running train. Because from July 1, it will not be possible to travel in reserved coach by taking waiting ticket. Even if that ticket is a window ticket.
Window tickets are tickets that a passenger purchases from designated railway counters before commencing the journey. According to earlier rules, if this ticket is waiting list or RAC then you could travel in sleeper coach, it was valid, but according to the changed rules from July 1, if these tickets are not confirmed till the last moment, then now you have to travel in sleeper coach. Will have to travel. On them. According to the earlier rules, if the ticket is for AC waiting room then one can travel in AC coach. On the other hand, tickets purchased online that already had travel restrictions in place are automatically cancelled.
Railway officials say that this rule is not applicable from today, it has been in force since the British times. Now we will try to implement it strictly. The rule of Railways is clear that if you have bought a ticket from the window and it is in the waiting list, then it is better for you to cancel it. But keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, no strictness is being taken at present.
After the implementation of the new rule, if a passenger is caught with a window waiting ticket in a sleeper coach, a fine of Rs 440 will be imposed on him. Additionally you may be released from the train in the middle of the journey. Apart from this, through this new rule, TT has also been given the right to send the passenger in the general compartment instead of disembarking in the middle of the journey.
