Mumbai, November 16 (IANS). Popular singer of the film industry, Indeep Bakshi has given many party hit songs to his fans. Singer spoke to IANS and made many important revelations about his work. During this, he also talked about working with Badshah and Honey Singh.
Speaking to IANS, he said about the making of his 'Chori Chori' track, “This idea was not a new one. I actually made this song in 2017. If you listen to tracks like 'Saturday' or 'Kala Chashma', 'Chori Chori' also has the same vibe, a boy and a girl meet in a party, while the girl says bring a necklace for me. The response from people has been amazing, which has been amazing for me. It's really like reliving that 'Saturday' vibe.”
Meanwhile, Indeep also explained the concept of his album 'Milk'. He said the idea of 'Milk' actually came from the slang my team used. For them 'Milk' means number one or the best. So when I was sharing the track they would say 'This is Milk', which means it's a great song.
Regarding the mixture of modern and traditional music in 'Chori Chori', he told how the music was created for the fusion? He said, “When you listen to 'Chori Chori', you will know that I have also added some hip-hop and house elements to match the sound standard. Mixing traditional tunes with contemporary tunes always works well.”
Meanwhile, he also talked about some controversies and said that 'Saturday' and 'Kala Chashma' are songs which everyone knows, but initially my name was not in the credits in Kala Chashma. This was a song that I made a long time ago and it was already released on my album on iTunes. Somehow it was released by the production company, but I was not given credit.”
Indeep further said, “Actually when a case is going on, you cannot speak openly, so I could not say much and finally when I got credit, I could sing in public. The controversy actually started when I had an interview and asked Badshah about it, to which he replied that I had stolen one of his songs called Burberry Chex. This was not a dispute but a misunderstanding. My question to Badshah is why was I not credited initially and why was it added later if I was not involved? I am grateful to Zee Music Company for updating my credits. This situation affected my career.”
When the singer was asked how this controversy affected his relationships, he said, “This controversy has affected him personally and professionally. When your name is clean in the industry, people trust you until the contrary is proven. For years I could not release my own songs. It was a difficult time. Due to the controversy, people became hesitant to collaborate with me, which was challenging. However, my fans supported me and always stood by me.
He told that “He cannot even think of working with Badshah in future. However, he can work with Honey Singh. Meanwhile he said that he was inspired by Sidhu Moosewala and when he passed away Then he was in Dubai and at that time his songs were being played everywhere in Dubai and every eye was moist.
