Auto News Desk – According to SIAM report, the recall has been issued for four Skoda-Volkswagen vehicles. The recalled models are Skoda Kushaq and Slavia and Volkswagen Tiguan and Virtus. The number of recalled vehicles is 52. These vehicles were manufactured between 29 November 2023 and 20 January 2024. Let us know why these vehicles have been recalled.
Skoda-Volkswagen recall: this is the problem
According to the SIAM report, welding problems have been observed in these four models. Due to this, problems can be seen in their track control arms. Due to its damage, people may have to face problems while driving. Drivers may suddenly lose control of the vehicle. Due to which they may become victims of accidents. Vehicles affected under recall
Kushaq, Slavia, Tigun and Virtus, all four models are manufactured in Chakan, Pune. In the case of Skoda, 14 vehicles of Kushaq and Slavia have been identified to have welding issues. In the case of Volkswagen, 38 vehicles of Tigun and Virtus have been identified for recall, taking the total to 52 vehicles. The number of vehicles being recalled is small, due to which owners of these vehicles will be contacted individually.
As seen in most recall cases, the process of repairing or replacing the parts is done free of charge. Complete information about how much time it will take to fix it has not been released on the company's domain. Welding problems in a car can cause an accident. Of these four models, the Kushaq was recently spotted testing on Indian roads. It was launched in India in the year 2021, now the company is preparing to bring its facelift. Some cosmetic touch-ups and new features like ADAS and 360° camera can be seen in it.
