Before the T20 World Cup this year, Jason Gillespie was appointed the head coach of Pakistan in Tests. Gary Kirsten of South Africa has been given the command of ODI and T20. After this, Gillespie was also appointed the interim head coach of ODI and T20. Some reports also claimed that Gillespie did not want to coach in all three formats without a pay increase. For this reason the PCB is preparing to remove him.

Meanwhile, according to reports, former Pakistan fast bowler Aaqib Javed may be appointed the coach of Pakistan's white ball cricket team. Javed is currently the convenor of the men's cricket selection committee. He is expected to play a limited overs role before the Zimbabwe tour starting on November 24.
Pakistan team is currently on Australia tour. After this, Zimbabwe will play three ODIs and as many T20 matches. After this Pakistan will tour South Africa. At the same time, after three ODIs and three T20Is, a two-match Test series will start between the two teams.
