Tech News Desk – California tech company Apple has declared many of its old iPhone models and other devices as vintage and obsolete. The tech company has clarified that the products which the company has stopped distributing for sale more than 5 years or less than 7 years ago are being made a part of this list. Apple stops providing hardware related services for such devices and the rest also stop getting software updates.

As for the difference between vintage and declared obsolete devices, hardware services for vintage devices may be limited but they may still be provided with select software updates. At the same time, for obsolete devices, hardware related services are not only stopped, but they also do not get any software updates. In such a situation, buying old Apple devices may prove to be a wrong decision. Such devices also cannot be repaired.
