Car News Desk – Skoda recently launched the new Kaylak compact SUV in India, with a starting price of Rs 7.89 lakh, ex-showroom. The company will start booking the new compact SUV in India from December 2. Now the company has started offering this scheme even before the booking starts. The company has opened a special Kaylak Club in which its customers will not only get priority in booking but will also get the benefits of membership. This includes 25 percent discount on booking amount, opportunity to book 2 hours ahead of time and Rs 2,000 off on purchasing accessories worth Rs 10,000.
How special is Nai Kayalak?
The deliveries of the new Kaylak are going to start from January 27, 2025. Apart from this, this compact SUV is going to be showcased at the upcoming 2025 India Mobility Expo. It is competing with Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza, which are priced slightly higher. The starting ex-showroom price of Nexon is Rs 8 lakh, while the starting price of Brezza is Rs 8.19 lakh. 17 inch alloy wheels are available with Qloc. Overall, this car will go on sale in India soon, which will further disrupt the intensely competitive compact SUV segment.

Price wise, Skoda has provided a lot of value for money features with the Qloc compact SUV. These include dual digital screen, powered driver seat, leatherette upholstery, connected car technology, ambient lighting and 6 speaker sound system. Apart from this, this car is also strong in terms of safety, it has 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control program and ISOFIX child seat mount, headrest and three-point seatbelt for all passengers. It has a length of 3.95 meters, wheelbase of 2.56 meters, 189 mm ground clearance and boot space of 446 liters.
How powerful is the SUV?
Skoda Auto India has provided a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine with the new Kalyak compact SUV. This agile engine generates 114 bhp power and 178 Nm peak torque. With this, customers can opt for 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. After almost 10 years, Skoda has launched a car cheaper than Rs 10 lakh, which is very important for the company. In India, it is competing with cars like Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3X0, Maruti Suzuki Franc, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Toyota Tigor.
