In this auction, franchises will try to include their old players in their team by using RTM. This time, permission has been given to retain 6 players. This time the use of RTM will be a little different. That is, after the end of the bidding, if the concerned team wants to use RTM, then the other teams will be given one more chance to take the bid forward. The team using RTM will have to match that increased bid. For example, if RCB bid Rs 10 crore for Starc. In such a situation, if KKR chooses the option of RTM, other teams will get a chance to increase the bid for Starc. Suppose RCB is ready to pay Rs 12 crore to Starc, then KKR, which uses RTM, will have to pay Rs 12 crore and not Rs 10 crore. This option to increase the bid was not available in the first rule of RTM.
