Ingredients for making Sharifa Rabri
-1 liter full cream milk
-3-4 tbsp sugar
-8-10 saffron threads (soaked in milk)
-1/2 tsp cardamom powder
-8-10 (finely chopped) almonds and pistachios
-Dried rose petals
How to make Sharifa Rabri
To make custard apple rabri, first thicken the milk. For this, heat milk in a deep bottomed vessel on medium flame till it boils. When the milk starts boiling, reduce the flame and thicken it while stirring continuously. Take special care that the milk does not stick to the vessel while cooking. Heat the milk for about half an hour. After this, cut the custard apple and take out its pulp. Now add sugar to the heated milk and stir until the sugar dissolves completely. After this, add saffron and cardamom powder to the milk and cook it for 2-3 minutes and then cool the milk. Now add custard apple pulp to milk. Keep in mind that do not mix custard apple pulp in hot milk, otherwise the milk may curdle. Now put this prepared Sharifa Rabdi in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped almonds, pistachios and dry rose petals. Before serving Rabdi, keep it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
