Hyundai is going to launch EV version of Creta on this day, you will get such a good range in a single charge.
Car News Desk – Korean automobile company Hyundai is likely to showcase its much-awaited Creta EV at the 2025 India Mobility Show 2025 on January 17. According to reports, spy shots of the Creta EV suggest that it will retain the styling of the internal combustion engine (ICE) model launched earlier this year. The electric car features a connected taillight design, shark-fin antenna and a rear bumper similar to its ICE counterparts. The model is likely to lack a tailpipe, indicating it to be an EV. Meanwhile, Hyundai is expected to replace the traditional radiator grille with a closed panel, reflecting the EV-specific design language. Additionally, the Creta EV may get a new set of aerodynamically optimized alloy wheels. The model is likely to be built on an updated version of Hyundai's K2 platform, ensuring compatibility with electric powertrains.
Premium interior and advanced features
Positioned as a premium offering, the Creta EV is expected to get a luxurious interior with high-quality materials. Highlights may include leatherette upholstery, electric panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats with electric adjustment. The rear seats are likely to retain the two-step reclining feature. Technical upgrades are expected to include a dual-screen setup combining infotainment and instrument cluster displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and a 360-degree surround-view camera. Other features may include a wireless phone charger, cooled glovebox and USB charging points for rear passengers.
Range and performance
Not much information has been revealed about the EV yet, but the Creta EV is expected to come with the same battery options as its main rival, the Tata Curve EV. With possible configurations of 45 kWh and 55 kWh battery packs, the Creta EV can deliver a range of up to 500 km on a single charge, making it a strong contender in its segment.
