Good News! Hyundai Creta becomes tax free before the end of December, now customers will save lakhs of rupees by purchasing it

Actually, Creta is the number-1 SUV in the country. This SUV can also be purchased from CSD canteen. In Canteen Stores Department i.e. CSD, only 14% GST is charged from the soldiers instead of 28%. Due to which the soldiers save a lot of tax by purchasing a vehicle from here. According to Cars24, the price of Creta's E petrol variant here is Rs 9.90 lakh. Whereas, its ex-showroom price is Rs 11.00 lakh. That means tax of Rs 1.10 lakh will be saved on this base variant only.
Before knowing about Creta prices in Canteen Stores Department (CSD), let us understand about CSD. Actually, CSD is a sole owned enterprise of the Government of India under the Ministry of Defence. There are 34 CSD depots in India in cities like Ahmedabad, Bagdogra, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai. It is operated by the Indian Armed Forces. They sell food, medical supplies, household essentials and even cars at affordable prices to a select section of the Indian population. Customers eligible to buy cars from CSD include serving and retired armed forces personnel, widows of military personnel and ex-servicemen and defense civilians.
The tax difference between CSD and showroom prices of Hyundai Creta ranges from Rs 1.02 lakh to Rs 1.34 lakh. A total of 7 variants of Creta are available here. This includes E Petrol, X Petrol, S Petrol, S (O) Petrol, S (O) IVT Petrol, SX Petrol and SX (O) Petrol IVT.
Hyundai Creta Features and Specifications
Hyundai Creta comes with 70 advanced features with Level-2 ADAS. It has been launched in 7 variants. Which includes E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech and SX(O) variants. The E variant of Creta looks similar to the other variants. Its grill looks full, in the middle of which the Hyundai logo is placed. It has inverted L-shaped LED DRLs. However, these are not as connected as the higher-spec models. The headlights have a projector unit with a halogen bulb inside for low beam and a reflector setup below it for high beam.
Talking about the interior of this variant, the dashboard layout is the same as other trims. The steering wheel is also the same, but audio controls are not available in it. This is because no infotainment system is provided in it. Manual AC is provided with USB ports at the front and rear. The instrument cluster is fully digital, but is shared with the i20, Exeter. It does not have a top-spec model unit. Hyundai has provided manually dimmable IRVM and manually adjustable ORVM, all power windows, central and remote locking with flip key.
Features inside the SUV include front center armrest, rear armrest, adjustable headrests and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, rear AC vents, fabric seats. The new Hyundai Creta E base model can be purchased with two engine options NA Petrol Diesel. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. In the Indian market, it competes with models like MG Astor, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Highrider, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Citroen C3 Aircross.
