Car News Desk – Citroën India has announced exciting year-end discounts across its portfolio. Apart from the C5 Aircross, discounts are available on the Basalt coupe-SUV, Aircross SUV and C3 and eC3 EV hatchbacks. These discounts are not surprising considering the brand's average monthly dispatches to dealers during June-November. In fact, the company has sold an average of 648 units of Basalt in a month.

Discount on Citroen Basalt in December
Savings up to Rs 80,000

In the last month of the year, Basalt is getting benefits and discounts up to Rs 80,000. After 579 deliveries in a month since its launch, sales of this car have been slowing down steadily. Although it is the best-selling Citroën in the August to November period, with an average wholesale sales of 198 units, only 47 units were sold in November 2024. As is usually the case, these discounts will vary depending on the variant chosen. The Basalt comes in four different trims – U, Plus, Max and Max Dual Tone. The car comes with two 1.2-litre petrol engine options. One petrol engine is of 82hp and the other is a turbo-petrol engine which produces power of 110hp. Only the latter gets the option of an automatic gearbox. The Basalt, which recently received a 4-star Bharat NCAP crash test rating, is currently priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 13.95 lakh.

Discounts on Citroen Aircross in December
Savings up to Rs 1.75 lakh
The Aircross SUV comes in 5- and 5+2-seater configurations. There is a huge discount of up to Rs 1.75 lakh depending on the variant. Available with the same powertrain options as the Basalt, the Aircross is currently priced between Rs 8.49 lakh and Rs 14.55 lakh. In the last six months, the brand has sold an average of 98 Aircrosses at its dealerships, which clearly explains why the company is offering such huge discounts on this car.

Discount on Citroen C3 in December
Discount up to Rs 1 lakh

Citroen's most affordable model offers benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh, depending on the variant. The C3 has two powertrain options like the models mentioned above. The car, which rivals the Maruti Ignis, Tata Punch and Hyundai Xcent, is priced at Rs 6.16 lakh-10.27 lakh and in the last six months, Citroen has shipped an average of 246 units to dealers.

Discount on Citroen eC3 in December
Savings up to Rs 80,000

Citroen's only EV is getting a total discount of Rs 80,000 this month. This discount is available depending on the different trim. The Tata Tiago EV rival is priced between Rs 12.76 lakh and Rs 13.56 lakh. According to our real testing world, the car comes with a 29.2kWh battery pack with an actual range of 228 km. Over the past six months, Citroen has shipped an average of 105 eC3s to dealers.
