Due to rain on the last day of the Test, the umpires decided to declare the match a draw. The series is now tied at 1-1. Team India will land at Melbourne Cricket Ground on 26 December. There will be 1 lakh spectators present in the stadium on the first day of that match. Indian captain Rohit Sharma is ready for the match.
Team India's confidence increased
Rohit Sharma said on Wednesday that the Brisbane Test draw has given his team confidence for the remaining two matches. After the match, Hitman said, “It was not good to have the match interrupted due to rain repeatedly, but the 1-1 draw in Melbourne has boosted our confidence.” Given the situation we were in after lunch on the fourth day, someone had to take responsibility. Looking at the weather we knew that the match would not be completed.
Hitman praised his colleagues
After KL Rahul's 84 runs, Ravindra Jadeja played an inning of 77 runs. After this, Akashdeep (31) and Jasprit Bumrah (10 not out) saved India from follow-on by making a partnership of 47 runs for the last wicket. Rohit said that Jadeja and Rahul have to be praised. Cummins disappointed with the draw
