BCCI said on Twitter that the men's selection committee has included all-rounder Tanush Kotian in the Indian team for the fourth and fifth Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This off-spinner from Mumbai has played 33 first-class matches, in which he has taken 101 wickets at an average of 25.70.
Apart from his bowling achievements, Kotian also holds the record for taking five wickets three times. He has scored two centuries and 13 half-centuries. He was part of the India A team and participated in the second first-class match against Australia A at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Kotian played a key role in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy 2023-24 win. He was awarded the Player of the Tournament award for his all-round performance. He scored 502 runs at an average of 41.83 and took 29 wickets at an average of 16.96.
