Cricket News Desk. India will play all its Champions Trophy League matches in Dubai, including the clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on February 23. The International Cricket Council announced this on Tuesday. According to the rules of ICC competitions, India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group. New Zealand and Bangladesh are also in this group. Group B includes South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan and England. This tournament will start from February 19 in Karachi. In this match, host Pakistan will face New Zealand. Its final will be held on March 9.

The tournament schedule was released after several delays after the impasse over hosting the tournament ended. In this, ICC has organized India's matches at neutral venues as per its wish. The ICC has made similar arrangements for Pakistan for global events to be held in India till 2027.

This major 50-over tournament, which was last played in 2017, will have 15 matches played this time. At least 10 of these matches will be played in Pakistan. Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi will be the three host venues in Pakistan and the second semi-final will be held at the renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

“If India fails to qualify, Lahore will host the final on March 9,” the ICC said in a statement. If India reaches the final, it will be played in Dubai. There will be reserved days for both the semi-finals and finals. India will start their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 and will face Pakistan three days later. The team's last league match will be against New Zealand on March 2.

Actually, ICC has made the schedule in such a way that if the Indian team qualifies for the semi-finals, then it will play the first semi-final in Dubai on March 4. If Pakistan reaches the semi-finals, they will play the second semi-final in Lahore on March 5. Due to this, both the arch rival teams will not be able to play the semi-final match against each other.
