Ingredients required to make Rum Cake
-½ cup unsalted butter

-½ cup sour cream

-Three-fourth cup milk

-Half cup brown sugar

-two teaspoons baking powder

-one spoon orange extract

-3/4 cup rum

-one cup chopped walnuts

-4 eggs

-two teaspoons vanilla essence

-one cup flour

-one spoon cocoa powder

-half cup sugar

How to make Rum Cake
To make rum cake for Christmas party, first preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, grease the baking tray well with butter. To add to the cake, chop dry fruits of your choice like walnuts, cashews and keep them aside. Now to prepare the cake batter, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a big vessel. Now in another vessel, beat butter with brown sugar and orange extract for two minutes. Now add eggs, sour cream, sugar and vanilla essence to the butter mixture and beat well. Now add the dry fruits mixture to the egg and butter mixture and mix well. Now while whisking this mixture, slowly add rum and milk into it. Now add walnuts to this mixture. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking tray and bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 55 minutes. When the cake is baked properly, check it with a toothpick to see whether it is cooked or not. When the cake is cooked, leave it to cool. When the cake cools down, remove it from the baking tray and serve.
