The Third Eye Asian Film Festival is currently going on. The festival got off to a great start with the film 'Black Dog'. The seven-day festival, which will run till January 16, will showcase films from various Asian countries. Fans will be treated to a variety of quality artwork during the festival. The 21st Third Eye Asian Film Festival, organized in collaboration with Asian Foundation, Department of Culture, Government of Maharashtra and Filmcity, has started. On this occasion, many celebrities including festival president Kiran Shantaram, actress Sonali Kulkarni were present. In this festival, famous screenwriter and lyricist Padma Bhushan Javed Akhtar, who has made significant contribution to the world of cinema, was honored with the special award 'Asian Culture' by the festival president Kiran Shantaram.

Expressing his happiness after receiving the award, writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar said that it is important for writers in the film industry to get their due respect and remuneration. He said that we have a mine of great talent and we should strive for this by giving proper opportunities to regional arts on our soil. The tradition of our films is songs and music. However, I find songs lacking in recent films. This tradition is strictly followed in South films. Expressing his opinion, Javed Akhtar said that if we give importance to songs and music in films, then our film will definitely become famous globally.

Javed Akhtar has achieved a unique position in the film industry through his songs, ghazals, films, music and screenplays. Veteran writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar, who has written very popular films like Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewar, has given many great films to the fans till now. He has made invaluable contribution to Indian cinema as a lyricist, screenwriter and poet.

This is the 21st year of the festival, which was conceptualized by Late Sudhir Nandgaonkar and Festival President Kiran Shantaram expressed confidence that the festival will successfully complete 25 years and continue to provide film lovers with the best of the best. On the occasion of the 21st Third Eye Asian Film Festival, actress Sonali Kulkarni wished everyone to enjoy watching many of the world's best films.
