Maruti e Vitara, which is going to be launched in the Indian market on January 17, will compete with Creta Electric.

car news desk,Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its new e Vitara in Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Its direct competition is being considered with Hyundai Creta Electric. The company has already shown its teaser. Last year, Suzuki had revealed the e Vitara at the motor show held in Milan city of Italy. Maruti Suzuki has already introduced its production spec version eVX concept at the Auto Expo in India. The length of e Vitara will remain less than 4-metres.

Battery and range
The new e Vitara will have two battery pack options of 49 kWh and 61 kWh. Its 49 kWh battery pack will generate 142 bhp and 189 Nm of torque. Its range can be around 390km to 400Km. Apart from this, e Vitara will get a big battery pack of 61 kWh which will give 180 bhp and 300 Nm torque. According to the source, its range can go up to 500-560 kilometers with a larger battery pack.

Design and space
The design of the new e Vitara will be slightly different compared to the existing Grand Vitara. Some changes may be seen in its front and rear. It will have a wheel base of 2700 mm. e Vitara will be built on the Heartect e-platform. Very sharp LED DRLs are seen in its front. Not only this, 19-inch alloy wheels will be available in its top-end version. The interior of the new e Vitara will be equipped with advanced features and it will also have good space. The electric Vitara will also be offered with an electric 4WD system called 'ALLGRIP-e', which will give it off-road capabilities. Apart from this, this model has a new 2-spoke steering wheel. There is a twin screen layout and a new drive selector is also given. Maruti e Vitara can be produced in India at Suzuki Motor Gujarat in the next year (2025). This vehicle can be sold through Nexa sales outlets. In India, it will compete with Tata Curve EV and Hyundai Creta EV.
