First, find out how much electricity you use every month. Your solar panel will also be installed accordingly. If your consumption is up to 150 units then you will have to install one kilowatt solar panel. When the consumption is between 200 to 250 units, you can install solar panels up to two kilowatts. If the consumption is more than 300 units then you will have to install a three kilowatt solar panel.

Now if we talk about earning from solar panels, its simple principle is that apart from your consumption, you can sell the electricity you generate to the electricity companies. That is, if your monthly consumption is around 200 units and you install a two kilowatt solar panel and it produces 250 units of electricity per month, then you can sell 50 units. Similarly, you can earn money from electricity according to the remaining units every month. The government has claimed that people can earn 15 to 18 thousand rupees every year from this.
