car news desk,Skoda has officially showcased the second generation model of the Kodiaq SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in India. As previously revealed by the manufacturer, the new Skoda Kodiaq SUV will be assembled in India. Which will start from this February and its sales will start at the end of 2025. Showcased with its new design, premium features and strong performance, the new Kodiaq is all set to compete in the premium SUV segment in India. It will compete with cars like Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tiguan, Jeep Meridian and the upcoming Ford Everest (Endeavour).
Look and Design
Skoda's latest modern solid design language has been adopted in the new Kodiaq. Which gives it a sharper and more powerful presence on the road. Notable upgrades on the exterior include a bold butterfly grille and sleek angular headlamps paired with fog lamps. and redesigned rear lights with an attractive light strip on the tailgate.
Engine Power and Transmission
The new Kodiaq will continue to get the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This engine generates power of 188 bhp and torque of 320 Nm. This engine is paired with 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. And it comes with a standard 4×4 drivetrain, providing a blend of power and off-road capability.

The length of the SUV now measures 4,758 mm, which is 61 mm more than its previous model. While its width has slightly reduced to 1,864 mm. And the height has also reduced to 1,659 mm. Despite these changes, the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2,971 mm. Kodiaq now also gets newly designed alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 20 inches.
How is the interior and features
Talking about the interior, comfort and technology have been given priority in the new Kodiaq. Due to its increased length, there is more space in the cabin and the boot space has also increased. Expected to continue with the 7-seater configuration, the SUV now also gets a number of advanced features. These include a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display and head-up display. Introducing Skoda's new Smart Dial setup – three rotary knobs below the infotainment screen – providing easy controls for various functions.
Safety Features
This SUV comes with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). In which features like lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control are available. This includes 9 airbags, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Control and Hill Descent Assist. Which are for the safety of passengers and to make driving easier in different areas.
