This is the reason why the people living here have citizenship of both these countries. Apart from voting in these two countries, these people can also work for their livelihood. This village is home to the Konyak Naga tribe. Under the Free Movement Regime (FMR), people living in Longwa can easily travel up to 16 kilometers across the border without any visa or passport.
Ruled by a king with 60 wives
You will be surprised to know that Longwa is still ruled by a king, who is called Ang in the local language. The most important thing is that he has not just one or two but 60 wives. Ang's house is situated between the border of India and Myanmar. Half of Ang's house is in India, while the other part is in Myanmar. However, Anga has control over the entire village. Not only this, Ang rules over 60 villages of Konyak spread across Myanmar and Arunachal Pradesh.

Which is about 161 kilometers away from Mon. You can also take a bus from Sonari or Simaluguri in Assam to Mon. Let us tell you that Longwa village falls in Mon district only. Once you reach Mon, you can easily reach Longwa from here.
If you are traveling by train then you can take the train till Bhoju railway station in Assam, then go to Mon via Sonari.
