The government makes every possible effort for the labor class and poverty stricken people of the state. One of these efforts is the Village Transport Scheme of Bihar Government. Under which it provides financial assistance to the youth of Bihar who are unemployed and poor. Under this scheme, the pace of development is being accelerated by providing financial security to the unemployed people of Bihar to earn their livelihood. Let us tell you that in the rural transport scheme running in Bihar, people from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and three other backward class categories are taken. Accordingly, the first criteria here becomes clear that if you want to avail the benefits of this scheme then you must belong to any one of these three categories.

Apart from this, the minimum age of the applicant taking advantage of this scheme should be 21 years. Apart from this, the applicant should not be working in any government service and should not have any commercial vehicle. To apply for this scheme, one must have light motor vehicle driver license, caste certificate, residential certificate and educational qualification certificate.

In this scheme, 50 percent of the vehicle amount or a maximum of Rs 1 lakh is given assistance by the government to the beneficiaries to buy a vehicle. The assistance amount is transferred directly into the bank accounts of selected beneficiaries for purchasing new passenger vehicles ranging from 4 seater to 10 seater. Under this scheme, Bihar government has so far benefited 44 thousand 754 people.
