Jind News, Jind. The expert team of NITI Aayog conducted a detailed assessment visit on Friday at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra located in Pandu Pindara. The main objective of the visit was to directly observe the ongoing agricultural extension work, training programmes, research, mass communication models and farmer friendly innovations at the centre. KVK head Dr. Neeraj Pawar briefed the NITI Aayog team in detail about crop diversification, organic farming, crop residue management, high-yield varieties, water management technologies and digital agriculture services developed by Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
Communication and feedback collection from farmers
The team specifically inspected the Demonstration Plant, Farmer Training Room, Soil Testing Laboratory and Agricultural Mechanization Unit. Additionally, the team interacted with farmers in Bibipur, Nidani and Ahirka villages of the district and collected feedback regarding the effectiveness of the training programs being provided by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, usefulness of technical suggestions and positive changes in crop production.
Farmers said that the guidance of KVK has helped them a lot in reducing the cost of farming, increasing production and adopting scientific techniques. Dr. Neeraj Pawar, Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, said that this center is committed to advance agricultural education, skill development, technical demo and farmer-based research. The center provides various types of information to farmers and conducts training. This assessment visit of the NITI Aayog team is being considered as a positive step for the agricultural development of the district, which will enable farmers to get better technical support in future.
