Distribution of plants in Faridabad
Faridabad, Mayor Praveen Batra Joshi distributed winter flowering plants at Amaulik Heights in Greater Faridabad on Saturday. On this occasion he appealed to the citizens to eliminate the use of polythene and adopt indigenous products. Around 90,000 winter flowering plants were distributed during this programme.
Floral diversity and environmental initiatives
The Mayor was warmly welcomed by the society members and local residents at the time of distribution of saplings. The Mayor informed that the Municipal Corporation has prepared saplings of more than 17 crore different species of flowers, planting of which will enhance the beauty of greenery and colorful flowers in the city.
Local residents welcomed this environmental initiative and assured to take care of the plants. On this occasion, District General Secretary Praveen Chaudhary, Councilor representative Rinku Silani, Councilor Sachin Sharma, Mandal President Trupti Malha, and other officials were present.
