Kartik Aryan looks comfortable and attractive in his familiar style. His humor and body language make his character likeable. However, it is not enough for an actor to be good in a love story. Ananya Pandey seems to be struggling in emotional and romantic scenes. The chemistry between her and Karthik does not leave the impact that is required for a love story.

The second half of the film becomes more interesting, especially due to the entry of Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta. Jackie Shroff brings simplicity and depth as a retired army man. The scenes between her and Karthik become the life of the film.
It would not be wrong to say that Karthik’s chemistry looks better with Jackie Shroff than with Ananya. Neena Gupta provides emotional strength to the film in the role of Ray’s mother. Sapna Sand’s character also succeeds in bringing smiles in a particular scene.

The main message of the film is based on family love and compromise. However, its conclusion has been presented too hastily. Ray’s decision to stay at his wife’s house after the wedding is settled in the last fifteen minutes.
If the second half had focused more on the struggles and changes in Ray’s new life, the film could have been more impactful. The idea of Ghar Jamai is not new, but the film misses the opportunity to show it in depth.
