‘Ikkis’ is a war based biopic that depicts the life and sacrifice of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetpal, the youngest person to receive the Param Vir Chakra. Agastya Nanda has played the role of Arun Khetpal in the film. The film is also the last film of late actor Dharmendra, in which he played the role of Arun’s father.

Earlier ‘Ikkis’ was to be released on Christmas, but due to the record breaking earnings of ‘Dhurandhar’ at the box office, its release date was postponed. Now this film will be released in theaters on January 1, 2026. The film’s producer Dinesh Vijayan also admitted that ‘Ikkis’ needed the right timing for its strong presence at the box office.

After a private screening of the film, Amitabh Bachchan was all praise for his grandson. He wrote in his blog, “Emotions overflow… Same thing happened tonight when I saw my grandson perform brilliantly in ‘Ikis’…”
