case details

A hearing was held in the Madras High Court on 9 January, where the single bench of the court ordered the Censor Board to immediately grant a censor certificate to ‘Jana Nayagan’. But on the same day, the Divisional Bench stayed the order. Now the producers have filed a petition in the Supreme Court, in which they are demanding to cancel the decision of the Divisional Bench, so that the film can be passed by the Censor Board and it can be released.

This petition is likely to be heard on January 19. It will be interesting to see whether after this hearing the path for the release of ‘Jana Nayagan’ is cleared or not. This film is considered to be the last film of Thalapathy Vijay’s career.
