Palash Muchhal’s new troubles in Mumbai
Mumbai: Famous musician and singer Palash Muchhal’s problems are not subsiding. Recently, the news of breakup of his marriage with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana was in the headlines. Now Palash seems to be embroiled in a serious legal dispute. A person in Maharashtra’s Sangli district has accused him of fraud of ₹40 lakh.
Relationship with Smriti Mandhana
Palash and Smriti’s relationship seemed like a dream. From the proposal on the cricket field to their chemistry on social media, everything was wonderful. They were scheduled to get married on 23 November 2025, but on the wedding day, Smriti’s father was admitted to the hospital due to a heart attack.
Meanwhile, some controversial screenshots and fraud rumors about Palash started spreading on social media. Although Palash termed these allegations as baseless, Smriti removed all the engagement and wedding photos from her Instagram. In December 2025, both issued separate statements confirming the end of their marriage. Smriti appealed to respect her privacy, while Palash described it as the most difficult time of his life.
Details of legal dispute
34-year-old actor and producer Vigyan Mane from Sangli has applied to the Superintendent of Police demanding registration of an FIR against Palash. According to the complaint, Palash and Vigyan met in December 2023. Palash offered him to invest in his upcoming project ‘Nazariya’.
It is alleged that Palash assured Vigyan that he would get a profit of ₹12 lakh on an investment of ₹25 lakh and would also get a role in the film. Vigyan claims that they gave a total of ₹40 lakh to Palash till March 2025, but when the project was not completed and Vigyan asked for the money back, they did not get any satisfactory reply.

This legal dispute comes at a time when Palash is going through a major change in his personal life. Recently, the news of the breakup of his marriage with Smriti Mandhana had shocked everyone. In an emotional note, Palash had said, “This is the most difficult phase of my life. It is sad to see people reacting to baseless rumours.” Palash had talked about moving forward with dignity, but now this new allegation has raised questions on his image.
