Film O’Romeo gets A certificate
Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri’s new film O’Romeo has got approval from the censor board. The Central Board of Film Certification has awarded it an A certificate. This is Shahid Kapoor’s second film after Kabir Singh, which has received this rating. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, this film will be released on 13 February 2026, which is around Valentine’s Day.
Romantic scenes were not cut
There was no cut on the romantic and intimate scenes of the film
According to reports, the censor board has made several changes in the film. Some dialogues have been modified, such as the word ‘item’ has been replaced with ‘Kumari’. In one scene, a particular word was muted, while in another inappropriate word was removed entirely. The special thing is that no cuts have been made on the romantic and intimate scenes of the film, that is, these parts have been left without any visual cuts. However, trimming has been done in some scenes related to violence.
Anti-tobacco disclaimer added

For example, the throat-slitting close-up shot has been shortened by 20%, lasting about 3 seconds. Similarly, a shot of a bloody head being hit and another shot of blood splattering on a woman’s face have been reduced by 2 seconds each. The visual of a woman being slapped has also been shortened by 20% (about 2 seconds). The Censor Board has given instructions to add anti-tobacco and anti-smoking disclaimers in the film, due to which the total length of the film has increased by 1 minute 57 seconds.

As per the censor certificate, the final runtime of the film is now 178.41 minutes i.e. 2 hours 58 minutes 41 seconds. This has become Shahid Kapoor’s longest film till date. Apart from Shahid and Trupti, actors like Nana Patekar, Vikrant Massey, Avinash Tiwari, Farida Jalal, Tamannaah Bhatia and Disha Patani are also included in this film. It is an action-drama thriller, which seems to be filled with romance and intensity. These censor changes have prepared the film for release in theaters and now fans are eagerly waiting for 13th February.
