Rahul Gandhi’s attack on the government
New Delhi. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has continuously attacked the central government regarding the trade treaty with America. On Sunday, he targeted the government for the third day and raised five important questions related to the interests of farmers. They allege that farmers are being cheated in this treaty, which will cause serious damage to India’s agricultural sector. Rahul explained this by linking it to the future of the agriculture sector.
Questions on farmers’ interests
Rahul Gandhi asked five questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday regarding the trade treaty with America. He wrote on social media that it is necessary for farmers to get answers to these questions. Rahul said, ‘This is not just a matter of today, but is also a concern for the future. Are we allowing any other country to establish long-term control over India’s agricultural industry?
list of five questions
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi shared his five questions on social media platform X. His first question was, ‘What does it mean to import Dried Distillers Grains, DDG? Does this mean that Indian animals will be fed fodder made from genetically modified American corn? Will this not make our dairy products dependent on the American agricultural industry?
The second question was, ‘If we allow import of GM soya oil, what will happen to soya farmers of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and other states? How will they bear the fall in prices?’ The third question is, ‘When you say additional product, what does it include? Is this a signal to open pulses and other crops to US imports? Fourth question, ‘What does removal of non-trade barriers mean? Will India be pressured to loosen its stance towards GM crops? And the fifth question, ‘Once the door is open, how will it be prevented from opening further?’
protecting the rights of farmers
Rahul Gandhi has continuously raised questions with the central government regarding the trade agreement between India and America.
